order of worship

What should be the focus of form and content of a weekly gathering of the community of God? This question continues to surface in my world. In the beginning, I told myself it wasn't the right question to ask. Which worked for a time, but now it is back and I need to ask myself, even if it is the wrong question (its my blog!). For starters, I think it should be focused on the 'heart' of those who are active in the community. That is, before the sound board gets moved, before microphones get in place and before you pick the music, there should be a heart felt prayer for God to intervene and descend on the community. Without a humble servant attitude, there will be no context for worship. Before we give our offering, we must first seek forgiveness and repent, not only with interpersonal relationships, but also between the man and God.
